WESTWOOD - Lorraine Marie Garrand (nee Connolly), 86, of Westwood, died suddenly on October 2, 2021.
Devoted wife to the late Robert John Garrand. Beloved mother to Mary Kathleen Craige (Jim) & loving Gram to Liam James, Gavin Robert & Lauren Craige. Cherished aunt toMichael (Joann) Connolly & Patrick Connolly (Mary Beth), KathrynHolmes (Bill), GeorgeMcNulty (Emily), MatthewMcNulty and the late Peter NcNulty. Loving sister to the late Francis Connolly (Josephine) and sister-in-law to the late Doris “Brillie” McNulty and the late Richard Garrand.
Lorraine was a French Language teacher at Park RidgeHigh School andNewMilfordHigh School. After retiring from teaching, she was a professor of French Literature atWilliam PattersonUniversity and Bergen Community College. She truly touched thousands of lives during her 50 years of teaching.
Visiting will be Wednesday, October 6 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood. Funeral mass will take place on October 7th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Good Counsel R. C. Church in Washington Township with burial to following at St Mary’s Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY.
