He was smart and was a very good friend growing up. We reconnected after grad school when I became an ophthalmologist and he became an optician. His office ended up 2 blocks away from mine. He had been living upstate and I was in Chicago then manhattan. Small world. I learned a lot from him growing up. Rest in Peace Wes.
