Eleanor T. Pawelczyk, 60, of Berlin passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at her home. Eleanor was born in New Britain and graduated from New Britain High School, Class of 1968. She leaves sisters, Loretta Banulski of Kensington, Jennie Calvo of Kensington and Margaret Richard of Thomaston; one brother, Brian Pawelczyk of Kensington; seven nieces, Lauren and Liza Manafort, Lana Nanowski, Dana Kavarsky, Lisa Calvo, Rachel and Leah Pawelczyk; and two nephews, William Manafort and Kyle Richard. Eleanor was a quiet and helpful person for the Barbara Smith Laryngectomy group's anti-smoking presentations at area schools. The School children would listen to her making her presentations without making a peep. The girls would pepper her with many questions of the second hand smoking issues.
