John was in my home room class in the annex. A classic nerd; hair slicked down, but messy, crooked part, as the dry look prevailed for the rest of us. In the three years I had the pleasure of sitting close to him, I was always in awe of his brilliance. He made his own working calculator. I never saw him upset, in distress, or nervous about anything. Always had good things to say about people. He was the epitome of cool before the term low key was used. Didn’t care what others thought of him, the person most people ignored, till you saw the brilliant mind, the gold heart, and a true friend…if we only had taken the time!!! RIP my friend. Sofio
