funeral services were held today for
James Joseph DeCosta, 36, who died
Friday, March, 4, 1994, after a long
illness. He was the son of Theresa
Goulet of New Bedford and Joseph
. R. DeCosta of Louisville, Ky.
He died at the Hospice at Mission
Hill in Boston.
He was born in New Bedford and
lived most of his life in Acushnet and
the past year in New Bedford. He
was a communicant of St. Francis
Xavier Church in Acushnet. He was
employed by Dudley Towers in Eas-
ton as a tower construction worker
until his illness.
Survivors include his parents; a
son; two brothers, Joseph R. DeCosta
Jr., of Louisville, Ky., and Thomas J.
DeCosta of Marion; two sisters,
Christine Ng of Castro Valley, Calif.,
and Bette Mendonca of New Bedford;
and several nieces and nephews.
