About Me	Rod graduated from University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. Rod also holds advanced degrees in Management. He served from 1978 through 1992 as a United States Army Signal Officer in Tank Battalion, Armored Cavalry Regiment, and Infantry Division Signal units. For six years, he worked combat development requirements within TRADOC on Command and Control and Communications systems. He was a 1982 Air Force Telecommunications Systems Course Honor Graduate; was awarded the U.S. Army Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters; and was awarded the Department of the Army 1985 Systems Analysis Award for Meritorious Group Achievement in Operations Research and Systems Analysis for AMSAAâ€™s "Why Three Radios?" Study. He was a Systems Engineer Supervisor with Telos on the Armyâ€™s Maneuver Control System; and a Systems Engineer with TRW and Northrop Grumman on FBCB2 and Army Battle Command Systems from 1992 to 2003 before coming to Boeing. Since arriving at Boeing IDS, he initially worked on FCS as a Systems Engineer. Boeing has certified him as an Advanced Level Systems Engineer.
