I served 4 years active duty, 2 years active full time support and 2 years in the reserves. My primary MOS was Aviation Maintenance. I've been to many destinations throughout the world and served in support of Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

Charles Davis

Army, 6 Years
Served from 1982 to 1988. I was with the 2nd Armored division for 4 years and 1st Calvary division for 2 years. I was a staff sergeant (E-6). My main duties was to advise and coordinate all indirect weapon systems with the ground commanders and implement a consolidated plan. 3 small conflicts occurred during my tour of duty including the Lebanon incident, Panama, and Grenada. my unit was on alert for all three incidents and remained ready to deploy at the staging area until the crisis was over. i considered us fortunate to not be deployed. I had friends in Panama and Granada that came back different than when they left and both of those conflicts lasted just weeks.

Basic training and NCO school at Fort Benning, GA. Advance Infantry training at Fort Polk, LA. Went to Vietnam as Infantry Sargeant. Served in Vietnam and Cambodia with the 4th battalion 9th Infantry (Manchus) before being redeployed to the 1st Air Cav after 8 months in country.
