I entered the military in July of 1964 two weeks before the Vietnam War began. I served 4 years active and 2 years reserved status. I left with the rank of sergeant. I served overseas for one year in the Okinawa area of the China Sea. I was detached to an island which monitored air craft deployed toward Vietnam and other conflict areas in the far east.
