Class of 1970
Navy, 20+ Years
Enlisted in the Navy just prior to my graduating from Mt. Everett High School in 1970. Served total of 6 years with 10 months supporting ops in Viet Nam as an assault boat engineer. Enlisted in the Army in 1984 as a PFC, (E-3,) and honorably discharged in 1998 as SFC, (E-7,). Veteran of the Viet Nam War, Gulf War, and the often forgotten or over looked, Cold War. An honor to have served.

I enlisted in the Air Force in 1981. Spent basic training in Lackland AFB, Texas. Technical school at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls Texas and spent 3 years at McConnell AFB in Wichita Kansas. After receiving a below the zone promotion to Sergeant I also spent time at Quonset point Air National Guard Station in Quonset Rhode Island. I was honorably discharged after my service and moved to Cape Cod, Ma. to start my next chapter in life.

We were rammed by a Russian Trawler off the coast of Korea as we attempted to help out the USS Pueblo who had just be captured by the North Koreans. I went to Viet Nam in 1968 and was stationed at the out post at Nha Be, just south of Saigon, then went into Saigon for a year. Go Navy !!

Our Mt. Everett Regional High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Mt. Everett Regional High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
