About	In memoriam for my dear friend, Gary Birth: Apr. 13, 1946 Neptune Township Monmouth County New Jersey, USA Death: Nov. 2, 2006 Vero Beach Indian River County Florida, USA Services for John Gary Ament, 60, of Sebastian, Fla., are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1850 6th Avenue, Vero Beach, Fla. The Pastor "Jack" Diehl will officiate. Mr. Ament was born Aug. 13, 1946, and was raised in Alexandria, Va., where he graduated from Mount Vernon High School. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in urban planning from Florida State University. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. Mr. Ament worked in planning and zoning with city and county governments in Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Thomasville; and Panama City, Fla. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ft. Pierce and Thomasville. Mr. Ament died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Survivors include his parents, Vernon and Ruth Ament of Vero Beach; daughter, Jennifer Jordan of Thomasville; son, Jonathan Ament of Thomasville; and grandsons, David Lee and Jacob Jordan, both of Thomasville.
