Army, 2 Years
Served in Korea 16 months. Volunteered for draft, flew from Travis Air Force Base to Haneda Air Force Base, Tokyo, Japan,--boat to Pusan, Korea.

Gene Stewart
Class of 1966
Marine Corps, 4 Years
Gene entered into the Marine Corps in March of 1968 and went to Vietnam on September 1, 1968.
Gene was injured from a tank hitting a mine and the explosion ejected him from the tank. Gene was awarded a Purpel Heart for his injuries and went back to his unit after a short stay in the hospital. After 13 months and 8 days, he was sent home on October 8th 1969. He spent the rest of his time until December 1971 in Camp Pendelton, California working and planning with embarcation of troops and equipment on to planes and ships.

Stanley D. Ross
Class of 1968
Army, 2 Years
Stan enlisted in the Army in 1968. He was deployed to Viet Nam in April of 1969. A proud member of the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, Charlie Co. 2/3, Stan was Killed In Action on October 20, 1969
He is inturned in Greenwood Cemetary in Mount Pleasant.
A plaque hangs in The Mount Pleasant High School Library honoring him and his service.
