Donald E. Hinkle Recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who
for Excellence in Information Technology
Des Moines, IA, May 11, 2008, Donald E. Hinkle, Information Technology Specialist 4 for the State of Iowa’s Workforce Development Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and distinction in all aspects of information technology.
With 25 years in his profession, Mr. Hinkle is an expert in software development. He maintains and supports software for a federal job training program. Mr. Hinkle attributes his success to the support of his father, whose work ethic and character made him well-respected throughout his community. Prior to working for the State of Iowa, Mr. Hinkle worked at Vista Bakery in Burlington, IA and then at Fidlar & Chambers in Morton, IL. He has worked as an Information Technology Specialist for the State of Iowa for 13 years and co-wrote the case management system used to support the Workforce Investment Act.
In 1982, Mr. Hinkle earned an associate’s degree in computer science from Indian Hills Community College, graduating with a 3.6 grade point average. He is a member of the National Association of Workforce Professionals and the International Association of Workforce Professionals. In 1997 and 1998, he was nominated for the Governor's State Top Achievement Recognition Award.
