I lost my class ring right before we graduated.
I was still in foster care, and was placed in a new home at the time.
The foster “dad” was a total IDIOT.
He bought a new boat, that he took us out on Lake Dora.
Then he tells us All to jump and stay in the water (where there’s GATORS … and just swim there while he takes it for “a spin”… my clothes along with my ring, as sitting on top f my shorts, and he TOOK OFF… and my clothes and ring with it all inthe wind…so my ring is at the BOTTOM of Lake Dora… ???????.
The location is sort of in the middle but you could still see the docking area from where were swimming at which was near the mini light house that always had duck poop everywhere…
Anyhow it’s silver, has blue topaz, it has a Hebrew Star of David on it, and says “class of 2001”, I forget what else it had on it :-/ …. But I’m sure if someone found it you could probably easily trace it to me…
What sucks is, the LAST foster home I was in, I BEGGED and BEGGED for them to get me that ring..They didn’t want to get it for me…(although got the OTHER foster kids one…but whatever..) but they finally caved and bought it for me. I was SO EXCITED and I wore it EVERYDAY and was SO PROUD of it.
It was CUSTOM TO ME… MY true authentic self, which you LOSE when you’re in foster care as this system is an
Abusive traumatic and failure for kids… you are always traumatized no matter how much oh smile, or how ma y friends you make, or how active in school you are. None of that matters… those are just to cope… your not with your REAL family, so parts of not all of you become erased, and your identity vanishes… so at some point you have no clue who the hell you REALLY are. THATS how I was…for anyone who knew me in HS… I smiled.. I was active, I was kind, I “seemed” happy, but really I as a wreck and entirely damaged inthe inside and dying in my head… I missed my family.
And because I was in foster care.. by time I finally turned 18 graduated MDHS my family pretty y much were ALL dead then… I didn't get to say goodbye or anything… so once i entered the system at age 12- 6th grade… I Completely LOST my family FOREVER.
Then I got that stupid ring.. and I GOT TO HAVE rhe say in HOW I WANTED to design it specifically curtailed to ME so THAT RING .. became MY identity.. or what was left of it Anywyas… so when that idiot man foster “dad” took OFF with the stupid boat NOT even securing ANY of our Stuff that was OBVIOUSLY sitting right inthe seats… and OBVIOUSLY DUH would FLY OUT with the speed he TOOK off with… OF COURSE everything was Gunna FLY OFF and into the LAKE and unfortunately… MY RING… MY identity went to the bottom of that damn lake too…
So if ANYONE had like a metal detector?
Or I have NO CLUE if ANYONE will EVER find that ring.. it would literally be a needle in a haystack… BUT you NEVER KNOW!
I DDO remember a story of Someone finding an older woman’s class ring FROM MDHS who ALSO lost her class ring at eh bottom of Lake Dora.. (I guess that lake is just Vortex if SUCKING in peoples class rings.. lol), and someone was snorkeling or something at the bottom skimming and some how some way found this class ring, they contacted the company who made the ring (SAME ONE as that made ALL of OURS..) AND apparently somewhere or somehow within their records or maybe there’s some sort of serial # on the rings?? I don’t know but they ere able to track the lady down and return her LING oait MDHS class ring… she as well into her 80s… and I HOPE if or when someone finds MINE im not THAT old BUT if by Somme miracle it’s found no matter what age I’ll be.. I would be FOREVER grateful.. it’s like a part of me has been missing all this time…. It would be nice to get that last piece of that puzzle of myself to finally feel complete…

Thanks for reading..
