About	Kathleen (Pander) Smith, best and most wonderful mom, wife and daughter, of Findlay Township, formerly of Moon Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Heritage Valley Sewickley. She was born on February 19, 1959. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Robert Pander, her brother Ronald Pander and her father-in-law Parker A. Smith, Sr. High school sweetheart and beloved wife for 37 ½ years of Parker A. Smith, Jr.; devoted Mom of Jason and Heather; cherished daughter of Ruth “Tootsie” Pander Alimena and step-daughter of Frank “Duke” Alimena; well-loved sister of Carol (William) Gileot, Larry (Betty) Pander, Marty (Barb) Pander; daughter-in-law of Leona Smith; sister-in-law of Wayne (Carolyn) Smith; also many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; step-brothers and step-sisters; and great friends. Kathy grew up in the Coraopolis United Methodist Church and was part of their fellowship. She was a 1977 graduate of Moon High School. Kathy had a fantastic sense of family and loved people. She was the “Champion” of her children. Always hopeful and looking toward the future, she never let her myotonic dystrophy steal her happy and kind nature. Visitation Thursday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where service will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
