About Our dear beloved Sweet Vicki has passed away unexpectedly. She was the love of my life, my soulmate, a truly unique individual. She was the only person in my life that truly 'got me'... all of me. She had such a beautiful smile and a whimsical spirit. She was highly intelligent, but often kept it under wraps on purpose, so she could focus on others. She had a great sense of humor and got all of my jokes, even the corny ones. She was smart and could solve problems others had given up on.
She was a wonderful mother, and Jessica, her perfect daughter, and my perfect daughter too, is ample proof.
She was fierce and feisty and loyal. She wouldn't hesitate to let you know how she felt about something or someone. Crossing her would be at your peril. She was very protective of people and things she loved. And once she settled on a certain course, she was relentless in realizing it.
She was highly accomplished. She was the head nurse and director of a large coronary care unit in a 600 bed hospital. She was a nurse practitioner who worked as my office manager and nurse in my practice in East Orange, NJ. In fact, we met during a preceptorship for her NP training. .
She was a great lover of dogs. In 2014 she drove through a blinding rainstorm to North Carolina to save our dog Rexy from being exterminated in a high-kill shelter the next day. And she took such good care of both Rexy and Jack.
She was a wonderful loving grandma or 'Vivi' as she preferred to be called by her grandchildren, Cara, Andre, and Camille. But most of all she was my Vicki, and I loved and cherished her with all my heart. My life will be forever changed and she will always hold a huge chunk of my soul.
