Lawrence J. Butterini, age 86, on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Sewickley Valley Hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Coraopolis, the son of the late Adone and Sarah Butterini. He is survived by his daughter, Linda M. McLaughlin and her husband, Frank; sons, Lawrence A. Butterini and his wife, Kathleen, and William Butterini and his wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Katie A. and Michael L. McLaughlin, Kristy L., Lindsay A., Nicholas T. and Samantha Butterini. Also friend and companion of Louise Dibert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Makris and a brother, Raymond Butterini. He was a graduate of Moon High School, where he participated in sports. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. He worked in several steel mills and retired from the Sterling Varnish Company. He devoted his life to his family. He enjoyed his retirement helping his friends at the Northside Cheese Company and being involved with his grandchildren. Family and friends will dearly miss him.
