Age 71, of Summerville, SC, husband of Barbara (Shipley) Hartman, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at his residence. David was born on November 9, 1943, in Brownsville, PA, son of the late Raymond Wood Hartman and Mildred Bertha (Barber) Minton Hartman. He was a graduate of Moon High School and attended LaSalle College. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a mason and member of Coraopolis Masonic Lodge 674. Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara, of 48 years are one son, David Van Hartman, Jr. (Kelly); two daughters, DeAnn Anundson and Jennifer McWreath; three grandchildren, Jacob Hines, Donald McWreath and Darby Anundson; two brothers, William Minton (Abbie) and Robert Minton (Terry); one sister, Margaret Mauro (Nick). He was predeceased by four sisters, Rayann Hartman, Delma Bise, Ruby Minton and Velda Tassone.

Visitation Monday, April 6, 2015, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd., where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. Family welcomes flowers or donations in his name to Hospice Advantage, 9302 Medical Plaza Drive, Suite B., Charleston, SC 29406. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Trident Cancer Center, Dr. Silgals and his staff and Amedysis Hospice. They would like to especially thank Hospice Advantage, including Beth, Stephanie, Judy, Tonya, Tammy and Rev. Tim for their love, support and care. Members of Coraopolis Lodge 674 F&AM will hold a Service Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home for their departed brother.
