Age 48, of North Fayette, surrounded by his loving family at home on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Beloved husband for 14 years of Annie Renee (Beaumont) Thompson; proud father of Brody and Wyatt Thompson; devoted son of Patricia (Demikle) and the late Wayne ‘Pete’ Thompson; cherished brother of Traci (Jason) Hayes; loving uncle of Tyler, Morgan, Hunter, Johnny, Grace and Luke; also survived by many caring friends particularly his best friend Chris Mooney who unselfishly gave countless hours assisting Annie as a caregiver. Pete was a graduate of Robert Morris University where he played ice hockey for the Colonials. He worked for Merkle, Inc. as a Senior Director of Technology and his family is extremely thankful for all the love and support of the Merkle organization during this difficult time. Pete was one of the most skilled adult hockey players in the Pittsburgh area, playing in 5 or 6 leagues at any given time, including the NAHL-PGH and CVHL at Ice Castle, RMU Iron Lung leagues and leagues at Mt. Lebanon Ice Rink. Pete was also invited to play at many weekend tournaments which he enjoyed with numerous hockey buddies. The family will be planning a Celebration of Life Service in the future.
