About Francis W. DiDay, 70, of Frankfort Springs, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 29, 1940, in Sewickley, to the late William Wayne and Mary Anne (Siembieda) DiDay. He is survived by the love of his life and beloved wife, Blanche L. (Cope)Diday; loving father of Scott (Chris) DiDay, of Moon, and Mary Frances (John) Bauer, of Imperial; cherished brother, Robert (Becky) DiDay, of Moon; also survived by six stepchildren and their spouses; 'Pop' to three grandchildren and 15 stepgrandchildren. Fran was a 1958 graduate of Moon Area High School. He served as a police officer for Moon Township. He also was a certified master plumber. He loved to hunt and fish. Spreading kindness to all, he was known for his charitable nature. In our hearts and minds, we will always remember his warm and loving smile. One of his favorite charities, directly associated with smiles could be supported, in lieu of flowers, The Smile Train, P.O. Box 96208, Washington D.C. 20090-6208. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Monday at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Road. Burial will be private. The DiDay family would like to thank Forbes Hospice, the doctors, nurses and staff of Sewickley Oncology Department, as well as his many supportive and dear friends.
