About Larry E. Pander, age 66, went home to be with The Lord, peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation with his family by his side. He was born in Sewickley on January 21, 1952, one of five born to Ruth "Tootsie (Lytle) and Robert Pander. He grew up in Moon/ Crescent Area, graduating from Moon High School in 1969 and went on to West Liberty State College. Larry was a proud member of Local Union #449 Steamfitter’s, his life-long profession. He was also a member of Impact Christian Church. Larry married the love of his life on January 19, 1991, Betty (Hays) Pander. He is also survived by his mother Ruth "Tootsie" Alimena (Frank "Duke"). Larry was a devoted father to Larry Robert Pander of Moon Township, Cliff Price from the Southside and Jeremy Price (Whitney) of Brentwood, TN; adored "Pap Pap" of Sawyer, Caroline and Maddox Price; well-loved brother of Carol Gileot (Bill) of Parma Heights, Ohio and Marty Pander (Barbara) of Moon Township; brother-in-law of Parker Smith. Larry was preceded in death by his father Robert Pander, sister Kathy Smith and brother Ronnie Pander. Larry loved Pittsburgh sports, cheering for the Pirates and Steelers. Larry, a history buff, always watching the History Station, was an officiatnato of Trivial Pursuit. He loved being with family, playing cards and was a great supporter of Moon sports, watching the Tigers in football and basketball. Known as snowbirds, Larry and Betty enjoyed their place in Bradenton, FL. Visitation Wednesday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM. Pastor Jim Radant will officiate. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation, mark in memo "In Memory of Larry E. Pander", 1259 E. Camino Real, #150, Menlo Park, CA, 94025.
