About	DONALD J. RODIS, JR. (Age 63) Passed away peacefully in his home in Olney, MD, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 21, 2018. He was born on August 19, 1954 in Youngstown, OH to Donald J. and Mary Lou (Tyson) Rodis. He was a 1976 graduate of Cornell University with a degree in civil engineering and a proud member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and the Army ROTC program. Upon graduation, Don served in the U. S. Army for four years as a combat engineer in the 1st Infantry Division. Throughout his professional career Don worked as a P&G production plant manager, a small business owner, and a biomedical design engineer until he became a teacher at Marriott's Ridge High School in 2008. Don married the love of his life, Sherry Felice, in November 2010 and settled in Olney, MD. He felt most at home outdoors among the trees and mountains, backpacking in the summer and skiing in the winter. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan throughout his life and enjoyed coaching and attending his children's many athletic and artistic endeavors. He is survived by his wife, Sherry; children, Stephanie, Donald (DJ), and Joe and their mother, Nancy; two step-daughters, Samantha and Jessica Felice; a brother, Mike Rodis; a sister, Karen Angell Dube; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family, friends, students, and others whose lives Don touched are invited to Oakdale Church, 3425 Emory Church Rd., Olney, MD 20832, for a service at 3:30 p.m. and reception to follow on Friday, April 27, 2018, to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Don's name to Montgomery Hospice.
