Dave Joslin
Class of 1962
Navy, 20+ Years
Officer and a gentleman school in Pensacola, Florida. Comissioned as Ensign in 1967. Flight school for a while (eye problems). Intelligence officer school in Denver, Colorado. Assigned as mission briefing officer aboard the USS Intrepid in Westpac. Back in the states my air wing was disestablished. Sent to Riverine Strike Group in Dong Tam, South VietNam. Assigned to intel school in Denver as an instructor. Sent to Westpac again where I served with a tin can (destroyer) squadron as intelligence officer and watch officer. My forth trip to Southeast Asia found me in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand where I was the weaponeer for all of the US targets in four countries in the theatre. During that year I was sent on a special two month trip that I can't tell you about. My last assignment while in the regular Navy was in Norfolk, Virginia. Got out of regular Navy in '78 and transferred into the Reserves. In 1990 I was reactivated and worked in Colorado Springs, Co. for about three months. After 25 years I figured it was about time to retire which I did.
