Served as a sonar tech on the U.S.S. Robert E. Lee SSBN 601 (the 2nd of 41 FBM subs )from '63 to '67...went form bootcamp,sub school to the Lee and left the navy a STS2(SS) proud of my service.

I was one of the first batch of women to become aircraft mechanics. I was a crew chief on a C130 Hercules (cargo plane) based out of Little Rock AFB.
During a 3 month temporary duty assignment in the Philippines we helped evacuate refugees as South Viet Nam fell to the North.

Awards: Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Overseas Defense Ribbon, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal, Army Service Ribbon, various state awards
