About Me I have three Little daughters. I love all my family..I love playing WOW for those of you that doesnt know what that stands for I feel sorry for you and I Might explain it.I graduated from Mitchell In '07and I graduated from college in Oct 2008. So someone (who shall remain anonyomous) posted a question that could have been taken insultingly. Basically they said this page makes them sick, and its the devil at work taking people away from God and Savior and such....blah blah blah, you all know the drill. But then she asked 'How, can anyone believe in such weird things as pagan and witches? Who do you even pray to?" Here is my response. Its a tad long, but let's hear your guy's thoughts afterwards. I'm curious about how you'd of all responded to this. :) .............." First off, I've no idea if you'll actually read all this, but I hope you do, because I think then it might make more sense for you. We pray to many and multiple facets. Pagan is a term that encompasses dozens if not hundreds of faiths. It basically means a pre-christian religion. So any of the old deities, such as the Celtic gods and goddesses (examples; Cernunnos the Lord of beasts and the hunt, Epona, goddess of fertility, and protecter of horses, mules, donkeys, so the goddess of mounted warriors as well.), Norse deities, such as Thor, or Odin, or Freya, Roman deities such as Mars or Jupiter, Greek deities such as Zeus or Athena, and even old Egyptian deities such as Anubis, or Ma'at. These are but a few examples. Druids, Wiccans, Norse, any of the Eastern faiths and systems of ideals that are outside the norm all get grouped into that catergory of 'pagan'. Pagan is not a religion, it is a word created to mask, and envelope many many many religious paths and views, and one eventually used to demonize them. We do not believe in Satan like many think, because the whole concept of Jesus and Satan, neither of which we believe in, makes necessary that for one to exist, the other must. You can't have one without the other. Me personally, I follow an adopted, and admittedly less followed form of Celtic (originally) druidism. I 'pray' such as it is, to 'Mother'. She has no other name but that, and she is essentially the planet I live on, and everything around me that allows me to live. I hold the highest regard for her and her husband, whom I simply know as 'Father'. You'd call him death. But I don't fear that like you would, because to my belief, its all a balance. You cannot have life without death, they define each other. That is the core concept of what bugged me about Christianity, and led me away from it. In my opinion it devalued life, by trying to instill a sense of no end, so long as you followed a core set of rules that were, in my opinion, to strict. How can there be no end to life, when the very definition of the word is defined by the fact that it has to end??? It doesn't make any sense! This along with many other things led me to the warrior's path of the druid I now walk. We do not fear dying, we do not fear Father. We respect him and love him just as proper children do. His gift is just as important as Mother's. She provides a beginning, and he provides an end. Everything in between is under my control, its up to me what I do, and what I make of my time. Its up to me to write my own tale. That's the basic concept of it all, so far as this admin is concerned. Mayhaps other admins will respond as well, I don't know. But hopefully this helps some. And I'd please ask, with all due respect, that you simply unlike the page if we bother you that much. We wish to have a friendly and interactive community, without slamming and bashing what each other believe in. Much appreciated and Brightest Blessings to you sister" )O( Scath [IMG]http://i104.photobucket....(read more)
