| About Me | Prior to working for Senator Morrow I was an intern for Vice President Cheney. As a White House Intern, I worked in the Vice President’s Chief of Staff’s Office, directly for the Deputy Assistant to Vice President Cheney and Deputy Staff Secretary, where my duties were to gather and disseminate input from the Senior Staff and Special Assistants on a variety of policy issues. I am currently the President of the White House Intern Association, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation that operates Nationwide to provide scholarships and networking opportunities to past and present White House interns. I am a graduate of UCLA where I was the Valedictorian speaker at commencement. I was honored to be selected as Senior of the Year. In addition, I served as the Chief Justice of the judicial branch for UCLA’s student government. However, prior to UCLA, I attended Saddleback College, so I am a product of the Community College system. Shortly after starting Saddleback I was ratified to their Student Senate, which is what thrust me into the political sphere… a place I NEVER thought I’d end up. I mention my community college experience because it allowed me a second chance in life. I am STRONGLY opposed to welfare and handouts, which is why I love the community college system. The community colleges give people an OPPORTUNITY, not a handout, an opportunity to HELP THEMSELVES. I felt so strongly about it that I rose through the ranks and found myself on the Executive Board for the California Student Association of Community Colleges (CalSACC) representing 107 colleges and over 2.5 MILLION students and all within a few months of starting at my community college.
