After graduating, Michael joined the Navy and rose to the rank of Senior Chief before retiring in 1989. He then became an Information Technology Tech for Reedy Creek, the Government behind Disney. He retired after 17 years with them. He is survived by his wife, Susan; his son, David; and his sister, Kelly Pierce Sano.
