Passed Apr 14, 2005
Passed away in Roseville, CA, on April 14, 2005 Bob was born in San Francisco. Bob grew up in Milbrae, CA, and graduated from Mills High School. Soon after high school he enlisted in the National Guard and served on active duty for six years finishing his obligation in the reserves. He later went to work for Auto Electric Carburetor in San Francisco which he purchased in the early 1980s and became its president. Bob retired in 1990 and moved to Granite Bay, CA, where he resided with his wife and two sons for the past 15 years. Growing up in the 1950s and 60s, Bob had a love of cars and purchased and restored many classics over the past 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being on the golf course. Bob was a devoted husband, father and brother and will be sadly missed. Although Bob is gone, he will live in our hearts and minds forever.

Published in San Francisco Chronicle on January 10, 2010:
Daniel Matthew Begovich (Hillsborough, CA and Sun Valley, ID) Our beloved Dan died unexpectedly on January 7, 2010. He will be missed by friends and family from all chapters of his life, who treasured him as a kind man of sterling character. Daniel Begovich was born on January 14, 1957, in San Francisco, California, to Dan and Emma Begovich. He graduated from Mills High School and UC Berkeley where he played varsity basketball for the Golden Bears. He was named Most Valuable Player in 1977, and was awarded the Harold Belasco Gold Award in 1979. Dan was a president of Sigma Nu fraternity while at Cal. Dan's father was a varsity football player for Cal and played in two Rose Bowls for the Golden Bears. After college, Dan entered his father's real estate business, Danco Real Estate, and later took over the business. In 1987 Dan married the love of his life and his best friend, Mariann. Their three sons brought Dan extraordinary happiness. Joseph, Daniel, Neal and Mariann will miss him dearly. A great athlete, Dan thoroughly enjoyed skiing, golf, and basketball. He was an enthusiastic coach and friend to his sons and their friends. He was always a model of great sportsmanship and passion for the game. He also had a great love for music, particularly Jimmy Buffet, Bruce Springsteen, the Beach Boys and the Rolling Stones. Dan was a den leader with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He was a member of the Burlingame Country Club and was a faithful parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena in Burlingame for over 25 years. All who knew him will remember him for his kindness, compassion, integrity and generosity, and as a loyal and good friend. Dan was a devoted husband, father, son, son-in-law, and brother. He loved his family deeply and was always there to help any family member. He is survived by his wife, Mariann Byerwalter, his sons Joseph, Daniel and Neal, his mother, Emma, his sisters, Ann and Patrice, and his mother-in-law Mary and brother-in-law Robert. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 14th at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1310 Bayswater Ave., Burlingame, CA. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, San Mateo. All are invited to a Luncheon Reception at Burlingame Country Club, 80 New Place Road, Hillsborough, immediately following the Services. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Stanford Hospital and Clinics, 300 Pasteur Drive, Suite H3200, Stanford, CA 94305.

Jasmin Shami was taken away from us on September 9th, 2001. Although we may have lost a friend, Heaven gained an ANGEL. Her story, unfortunately, was lost with the tragic events of September 11th attacks. I've done my best to get in touch with ABC5 news and many other stations to see if they can re-open her case and find out what really happen. As we may remember, there were two sides of the story. 1 being that her father murdered them all and then turned the gun on himself and 2 being that because he was a Hell's Angel's member, they were murdered. Let us NOT forget our memories that were shared with Jasmin. Always happy, lending a hand to others, brightening everyone's day, just being herself, full of life. Jasmin, my friend, we remember you every single day. There is not a day that does not go by that I don't remember the memories that we made. You will always have a special place in my heart and know that I carry your picture in my heart everywhere I go. Save me a spot in heaven, for I will see you when I get there.

If anyone has a picture of her, please post it. I do not have one.
