Tracy Wernsman
Class of 1983
After thinking long and hard (that takes me about three seconds, usually), I had to nominate Tracy. Not just for her accomplishments after graduation, but more for her abilities and support while still attending High School.
Tracy wasn't voted Class President. But it was she who organized and managed class functions perfectly. Tracy was the one behind the scenes that made things happen. She received help from others to accomplish many tasks, while helping others along the way.
To the best of my knowledge, Tracy now heads the English Department for Omaha Public Schools. She has adopted two children that might not have had the opportunities in life if not for Tracy. Tracy also won the Omaha World-Herald Teacher of the Year Award.
That sums things up perfectly.
If I remember correctly, Tracy was voted our Class Treasurer. But in reality, Tracy was our Class Treasure.
