About Me	A great man once asked me when I was a child what it was that I wanted to be when I grew up. I looked up at him and smiled and said, "That's easy Pop-pop, I want to be Santa Claus when I grow up!" He patted me on the head and replied, "I promise you that if that is what you want then one day you will be." I puzzled over my grandfather's response for many years and it is now only after becoming a parent I realized the true wisdom of his words. We are more than our children's Santa Claus. We are their hero and their champion. Their Star of Earendil, a light to guide them when all others fail. I have stumbled down a few roads less travelled by most and in doing so my children have ended up entering my life before I completed my education.
