In Ocala, FL. Walter D. "Wally" Slavens, 53, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2006 at his home. Born in Newport, RI, he came to this area in 1989 from Rhode Island. He was retired and was the former owner of Italian Tile Imports of Ocala.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Slavens; daughter, Jennnifer Thornton of Belleview, FL, son, Jeffrey Slavens of Ocala, FL; mother, Gloria Slavens of Middletown, RI; brothers, Thomas A. Slavens of Lakeland, FL and Kenneth Slavens of Johnston, RI; sister, Wendy Borodemos of Middletown, RI; and 3 grandchildren, Christopher and Troy Thornton and Alyssa Gomez.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas I. Slavens.
