Mentor High’s Class of 1962 Reunion committee has scheduled a BIG 60th celebration on September 9, 2022 (the FRIDAY after Labor Day). Our Reunion will be held from 3pm to 10pm at Stonegait Winery, 4275 Bates Road, Madison, OH 44057. The winery is a lovely place for our reunion and is owned by Carol Heinz’s brother and sister-in-law. There will be a cash bar with wine, beer and soft drinks available for purchase along with delicious pizza, sandwiches and salads. You can view their menu at stonegaitwinery.com at your convenience. We hope everyone will plan to attend. If you know of any classmates who we haven’t been in touch with, please pass this information on to them. HEAR YE, HEAR YE ! Plans for the Mentor High School Class of ’71 50th REUNION are in the works!
Please reserve the dates of September 10 and 11, 2021 for the festivities. Tentative plans include a Friday GOLF SCRAMBLE and an INFORMAL GATHERING that evening. The MAIN EVENT will be Saturday at Little Mountain Country Club in Concord Ohio.
Particulars are still being worked on but for now we need to spread the word. We will be mainly using social media and word of mouth for notifying our class members and we need your help.
We will be posting on the Facebook page - “MENTOR HIGH SCHOOL CLASS of ‘71”, which already exists – thank you Debbie Wolfgram Britt, to keep all informed.
We will use “MentorHSClassof71@gmail.com “ email address for all correspondence.
There are some other areas where help will be needed and we will reach out to those who would like to help as things progress.

Time is getting short and there are less then 30 days left until the reunion. Therefore, a few of us (Joe Longo, Chuck Brunner, Chris Galiardi Weber and I) met the other night to finalize the details. As of this morning, here is the updated information.
• Reunion will be held both nights (Friday August 30th and Saturday August 31st) behind Longo’s Pizza on Mentor Avenue at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go
• Both nights will start approximately at 8:00pm
• Joe Longo will provide appetizers
• Cash bar
• On Friday night starting approximately at Midnight, a champagne breakfast will be provided free of charge
• Daniel Kaleal (Class of 83) of All Occasion Limousine will provide a free limo ride to anyone whose had just a tad too much to drink. As of now we have confirmed this service for Friday night and possibly on Saturday night if all the stars align. The limo will be available starting around 11:00pm and is for local destinations only. Although this will be provided as a free service, tipping the driver is highly recommended.
• There will be a sign in table located at the bar for anyone who wishes to have a name tag, as well as an information sheet we are requesting you complete, so we will have your contact information in the future.
• Reunion T-shirts will be provided, free of charge, for the first 100 1983 alumni
• For all those interested in attending, the Mentor Cardinals football team will host McDowell from Erie Pa on Friday night starting at 7:00pm. This is not a reunion event, so you are on your own.
• We are also putting a golf outing together for Saturday the 31st. Tentatively, tee off is at 11:00 at Little Mountain Country Club. Anyone interested in golfing, please contact either Joe Longo or myself. However, you must do so within the next week, so we have time to arrange the # of tee times with the course.
• Lastly, we are hoping to put a picture slide show together to be displayed on the big screen. At this point, we only have about 40 pictures submitted. Therefore, we are requesting that you forward any old pictures you have to me as soon as possible.

We are having our Class of 1976 annual dinner at Pickle Bill's in Grand River on Saturday October 20, 2012 at 6:00 pm The buffet menu this year will include the following items: salad and cole slaw, rigatoni, green beans almondine, chicken marsala, perch, Pickle Bill's famous fried dough with honey butter, dessert tray, cheese tray, veggie tray, and all non-alcoholic beverages. Cash Bar--The cost this year is $35/person, which includes food, coffee, tea, etc., tax, 20% gratuity. We do need payment in advance. Please send a check to Ronee (Braykovich)Tucholski at 11207 Wadsworth Avenue, Garfield Hts., Ohio 44125. This year's October Reunion at Pickle Bill's, we will be "paying it forward" to a cause and effort Ronee Braykovich Tucholski is very close to, dealing with bi-polar and other mental health issues. This October we will collect money from the Class of 1976 to support the National Alliance on Mental Health. This will be the third year we have taken on such an endeavor raising money for very worthy causes. Two years ago we raised money for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society and the amazing efforts Charley Bowman has put forth to this cause. Last year we raised money for Autism Speaks and the efforts Nancy Whalen has dedicated to this worthy organization. The Class of 1976, when we left high school we all believed we would make this world a better place. It is quite obvious over these 35 years that we have all done amazing things to contribute to this belief. We hope you can make it!
