Jack Cvercko, born on January 24, 1941, is a former American football player best known for his time as a guard with the Northwestern Wildcats, where his performance earned him All-American honors in 1962. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in Campbell, Ohio.

Upon completing high school, Cvercko attended Northwestern University where he played college football from 1959 to 1962. Standing tall at 6 feet and weighing 215 pounds, he played the guard position. His standout performance in 1962 led to his selection as an All-American, an acknowledgment reserved for the best players in college football.

Following his impressive college career, Cvercko entered the 1963 AFL Draft and was chosen in the 14th round, pick 109 by the San Diego Chargers. In the same year, he was also selected in the 5th round, pick 63 in the NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, a chronic knee injury prevented him from transitioning into professional football, which forced an early end to his promising career.
