Events	JOAN MARY KASTNER Obituary Joan Mary Kastner, 58, of Roanoke died unexpectedly on Monday, March 5, 2012 of Cardiac Arrest. She was a Roanoke College Graduate, a free-lance writer and an Advocate for the mentally ill. She enjoyed working with the Meals On Wheels Program, of the LOA, the visits with her two nieces, her BSF studies, and tutoring children at her Churchs after-school sessions. She is survived by her parents, James M. and Charlotte E. Kastner of Salem, a brother, J. Michael Kastner, Jr. and wife Mindy Fast of Henrico County and their daughters, Sydney Kastner of Charlottesville and Danielle Kastner of Arlington. Friends will be received Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Salem. On Friday, March 9, 2012 a Graveside Service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Joans Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2216 Peters Creek Road in Roanoke.
