How sorrowful I am when I get to know that he died at not so old age.
Needless to say he was a star football player at McCluer and I admired his great performances as well as his strong-muscled shape.
I remember one day when I was about to attend the class he came up to me and said “Mrs Brandon is my English teacher and she is very nice” smilingly. Mrs Brandon was my American mother and he tried to ease the tension of my being at the beginning of my school year of Foreign Exchange program.
I was struck by his thoughtfulness and kindness. I have lost two very important persons at about the same time- Kathy Martin and Joe Wallis who will remain in my heart forever and I want to say again “Thank you both and goodbye and I will never forget you”
