Judge John T. Wooldridge

Navy Reserves, 20+ Years
Judge Wooldridge is a Captain, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, U.S. Navy. He was commissioned an Ensign in the JAG Corps Student Law Program in 1985 and graduated from the Naval Justice School in 1988. Judge Wooldridge was assigned to USS PHARRIS (FF 1094) and served as Trial Counsel at Naval Legal Service Office, Norfolk, Virginia. He transferred to Gulfport, Mississippi and served as the Staff Judge Advocate for the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport and TWENTIETH Naval Construction Regiment. Judge Wooldridge was Honorably Discharged from active duty in 1991 and affiliated with the U.S. Navy Reserves. His Reserve assignments have included: Staff Judge Advocate, Navy Reserve Unit, USS CAPE COD (AD 43, Detachment 510); Staff Attorney, Navy Reserve Unit, Commander Seventh Fleet (NR COMSEVENTHFLEET, Detachment 111); Appellate Defense Counsel, Office of the Judge Advocate General, Appellate Defense Division (NR NAVJAG 211); Force Inspector General and Assistant Force Judge Advocate, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Japan; Executive Officer and General Court-Martial Military Judge, Navy Reserve Unit, Navy-Marine Corps Trial Judiciary (NR JUDACT); and Commanding Officer, Navy Reserve Unit, Region Legal Service Office, Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia (NR RLSO EURAFSWA). Judge Wooldridge currently serves as a Senior Military Justice Officer for Navy Reserve Unit, Region Legal Service Office Hawaii (NR RLSO HAWAII). Judge Wooldridge was recalled to active duty in 2008, serving with the Office for the Administrative Review of the Detention of Enemy Combatants (OARDEC), U.S. Navy Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
His personal decorations include the Navy Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal (two awards), and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Worked full time for the Indiana Army National Guard as a state and federal employee in various positions. Achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5 and retired in 2007. Was the first female and first Hispanic to achieve the rank of CW5 in the Indiana Army National Guard.

I tour with the marines was cut short of my years, I later join the Army National Guard in 2000. We deployed to Iraq in Sep 2005. I join the Regular Army in 2006 and was part of the Wounded Warrior program in Fort Bragg, NC. I retired in Mar 2008. I'm currently working with the MV-22 aircraft as the Aircraft Data Analyst.

Trained by the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force in photographic applications for historical documentation, reconnaissance and intelligence gathering, Served in the positions of Engineer Platoon Leader, Company Executive officer, Engineer Company Commander, Engineer Battalion Staff Officer (Adjutant / S1), attachments and assignments at the discretion of the Army and selected by name for a non-MTOE staff support position by the Commanding General of White Sands Missile Range (security sensitive position). Participated in NATO Nuclear Planning for Europe, “Minor Scale” nuclear effects testing project, Space Defense Initiative (SDI / “Star Wars Defense System”), military combat operations in the liberation of Kuwait, pre-planning of insertion of troops into Bosnia, management of military engineered construction projects, trained drilling crews for water well drilling in “Nation Building Programs” for Central America. Designed road, bridge, landing strips and combat defensive positions. Our McAllen High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
