He was born in Norfolk and was a life long resident of the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area.He graduated from VMI class of 1936 as a Civil Engineer. Served in the Army Air Corps. in WW II stationed in Great Britain from 1942 to 1945. Retired from the Air Force Reserves in the 60's as Lt. Col. Worked for the Navy as a civilian for 36 years at PWD's at NAS Norfolk, NAS Oceana, and NWS Yorktown, VA. He retired from the Navy in 1980 and resided in Virginia Beach until passing from heart failure. Rest in peace Dad. Your loving son...John.
