About Me	US Air Force / Ohio National Guard, 1972-1976; Ohio Northern University (named the top graduating senior in my department), 1974-77; Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, 1977-78; The Ohio State University, 1979-1983 (Ph.D. in Comparative Politics; awarded "Best Dissertation"); Since 1983 I've been on the faculty of the University of Maine, where I now serve as chairman of the Department of Political Science; previously served as Vice-President of the Faculty Senate, and in various other executive capacities. I have also been a visiting research scholar at Moscow State University (Russia), Harvard University, Baylor University (Texas), Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey), Emory University (Atlanta, Ga).
