About	Deatera L. "Dee" Peters 28 Aug 1960 - 11 Dec 2013 Marion L Steele High School - Class of 1979 "ELYRIA - Deatera L. "Dee" Peters, 53 years of age and a resident of Elyria, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a sudden illness. Dee was born Aug. 28, 1960, in Amherst. She was raised in Amherst, graduating from Marion L. Steele High School in the Class of 1979. She had made her home for most of her life in Amherst until moving to Elyria several months ago. Dee received employment through the local Sodxco Company as a cook. She attended the Family Fellowship Foursquare Church, as well as the Freedom House, both in Amherst. Dee loved to socialize with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her niece and nephew. Survivors include her parents, Richard E. and Moureen (nee McManus) Peters of Amherst; brother, Richard Elmer Peters II of South Amherst; niece, Breanna Peters; and nephew, Cory Peters. Dee was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Allen Peters in 1981; and sister, Ronda Ann Peters in 2008. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at Freedom House Church, 1240 Park Avenue, Amherst. The Rev. Paul Anthony Gonzalez, pastor, will officiate. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
