About	Dorothy Mae nee Gambish Russell, 82 02 Oct 1930 - 2 Dec 2012 Amherst Central High School - Class of 1948 "Dorothy Mae Gambish AMHERST - Dorothy Mae Gambish, 82 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Metro General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Dorothy was born October 2, 1930 in Amherst, Ohio graduating with the class of 1948. She was a lifetime resident of Amherst. Dorothy worked as a secretary for the Nordson Corporation for 38 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband of 14 years James M. Russell, Sr.; two stepsons James M. (Lena) Russell, Jr. of Vermilion, and Philip W. Russell of Lorain; two stepdaughters Bridgette Russell and Tracy (Tim) Spalich both of Lorain; many nieces and nephews; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and her sister Rose Bilgen of Huron. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers Frank, Joseph, and Walter Gambish; and her parents Walter and Stella Gambish (nee: Sterna). Private family graveside services were held at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio. The Rev. Fr. Michael Denk of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst, Ohio officiated. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Rd., Lorain, Ohio 44053.
