About	Florence E. Lange, 98 12 Nov 1914 - 3 Dec 2012 Amherst Central High School - Class of 1932 "JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Florence Elizabeth Davies Lange died December 3, 2012. Of Welsh heritage, Mrs. Lange was born November 21, 1914 in Amherst, Ohio. Mrs. Lange was the quintessential homemaker. She loved her family, the friends she grew up with and those she gathered throughout her life. Her passions were many - baking, sewing, needle pointing, quilting, raising African violets, bowling (the Langes owned the Park Lanes in the 1950s and '60s), reading mysteries, and grocery shopping - How she enjoyed knowing each store's weekly bargains. Mrs. Lange also was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and a past president of The Guild. For many years, the Langes spent their summers in Ohio and their winters in Florida, a routine they continued until Mr. Lange's death in 1994, when Mrs. Lange returned permanently to Florida to be close to her daughters and their families, who had long left Ohio winters behind. Mrs. Lange is survived by daughters, Doreen (Chic) Cason and Bonita (Bill) Shea, all of Jacksonville; granddaughter Holly Hoover, Sewalls Point; and grandsons, Larry Sharkey, Melbourne; Craig Sharkey, Jacksonville; Guy (Stacie) Shea, Jacksonville; Bill Shea, Detroit, Mich.; seven great- grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Lange Coates of Lorain, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lange is predeceased by her mother, Lilian Wright Davies Hagen; her husband of 61 years, Allen "Larry" Lange; an infant son; and granddaughter, Lysa Shea Hensley. Mrs. Lange's family would like to thank those who cared for and about her at Hurley Manor, Consulate Health Care and McGraw Center Community Hospice. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion, Ohio.
