About	Mark A Nowak, 57 11 Sep 1954 - 28 Apr 2012 Marion L Steele High School - class of 1972 "LORAIN - Mark A. Nowak, age 57 years and a long-time resident of Lorain, died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home. He was born September 11, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Anthony Nowak and Virginia (nee Gulvas) Nowak. Mark was raised in Amherst and attended Marion L. Steele High School. He was a member of the Class of 1972. For the past 25 years, Mark resided in Lorain and attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mark was a truck driver for Erie Blacktop of Sandusky for the past five years and prior to that he was employed by Mike Bass Ford, Sheffield, as a mechanic. His hobbies included motorcycle riding, playing billiards, boating, and fishing. Surviving is his wife of 14 years Pamela Sue (nee Attie) Nowak; his two children Courtney (John) Orlando of Boston, Mass., and Matthew (Shelley) Nowak of Berea; his step-son Angel (Stacy) Ayala of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren; Ryan, Mason, and Dominic; his mother Virginia Nowak of Lakeland, Florida, a sister Gerry (Rob) Patterson of Lakeland, Florida, and his brother Tom (Mary Lou) Nowak of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Nowak (2006). There will be a memorial service 7 p.m. Friday at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Richard Hudak, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial in Mark's name may be made to Garland-Misencik Funeral Home."
