About	Eileen A. nee Kreger Bartlome 3 Nov 1920 - 24 Jan 2012 Amherst Central High School - Class of 1938 "AMHERST - Eileen A. Bartlome (nee: Kreger), 91 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at New Life Hospice Residence Center of Lorain following a lengthy illness. Eileen was born November 3, 1920 and graduated from Amherst Central High School in 1938. She then went on to graduate from The School of Cosmetology in Cleveland after a twelve month program. When Eileen was first married she moved to South Amherst for about five years before returning to Amherst where she has made her home since. As a wife and mother Eileen worked as a beautician for a combined eleven years at both Draves Beauty Salon and Edward Beauty Salon in Amherst. She was a baptized and confirmed lifelong member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Amherst where she had been active with the Circle Six, CHI- RHO Couples Club. She also was a member of the Senior Citizens of Amherst. In her spare time she loved to travel. Eileen leaves to cherish her memory her husband of sixty-four years Richard J. Bartlome; sons James R. (Michele) Bartlome of Lorain and Robert J. (Kathleen) Bartlome of Amherst; and three grandchildren and one great granddaughter; as well as cousins Fawn (Walt) Smith and Dale (Judy) Rosenkranz both of Amherst. Also surviving is a very good friend of seventy five years Thelma Grisel. She was preceded in death by her son E. Jerry Bartlome on Jan 24, 2002 and her parents Walter and Irene (nee: Rosenkranz) Kreger. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Pemberton, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to New Life Hospice Center, 5225 N.
