About	T. Walter Wyvill 23 August 1932 - 23 June 2011) Amherst High School - Class of 1951 "T. Walter Wyvill, 78 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed from this life on Thursday, June 23, 2011 on to his eternal reward in Heaven. Walt was born August 23, 1932 in Lorain, Ohio and graduated from the Amherst High School with the class of 1951. Walt enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, where he served as a Bomber Crew Chief, flying many combat missions and receiving multiple medals. After leaving the Air Force, Walt managed his family's service station in Lorain. In 1966 he opened his own business at the Five Points in Amherst. Walt had a true love for Amherst and it's residents and he took great pride in being able to operate a business. Walt had a passion for flying and enjoyed sharing his love of aviation with all who showed any interest. His special love was his Aeronca Champ. He was a member of the Amherst Lions Club and had served as secretary and president. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1662, and many other service organizations. Walt leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-three years, M. Bernice Wyvill (nee: Hammond); his sons Tom and Mark Wyvill, both of Amherst; and his sisters Roberta Lampe and her husband Harry of Jacksonville, Florida, Carrie Barton of Texas, and Alberta Netzer of Florida. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Harry Lampe and John Fertalj; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Walter and Ethel Wyvill (nee: Alexander); by his brother Kenneth Wyvill; and by his sister Ethel Mae Fertalj. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Family Fellowship Foursquare Church; 780 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. The Rev. Bill Mouer will officiate.
