About	Michael A. Matesic 29 May 1954 - 11 February 2011 MLS Class of 1972 "Michael A. Matesic, 56 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain following a longtime battle with Multiple Sclerosis He was born May 29, 1954 in Lorain. Michael was raised in Amherst and lived there most of his life, graduating from Marion L. Steele High School with the class of 1972 and attending Lorain County Community College. Michael was employed with the Nordson Corp. in Amherst for twenty-five years as an assembler. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. His hobbies included bowling, hunting and working on computers. Survivors include his sister and her husband Sharon and Joel Luby of Vermilion; his brother and his wife Thomas M. and Glenda Matesic of Vero Beach, Florida; one nephew; five nieces, several great nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Vannette L. Matesic (nee: Frederick). A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, Ohio. I'n lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cleveland Clinic Mellen Center; PO Box 931517, Cleveland, OH 44193-1655.
