About	29 Aug 1936 - 17 Aug 2010 Amherst High School at Central School, Class of 1954 "SOUTH AMHERST â€” Carole A. Kinzel nee Muniga, 73 years of age, and a resident of Grafton, passed away in her home surrounded by her family, Tuesday, August 17, 2010, following a six month illness. She was born August 29, 1936 in Amherst, Ohio. Carole was raised in Amherst and graduated from Central High and then attended Lorain Business College. She had made her home in Grafton for forty years. Carole was employed as a accounting clerk at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria for fifteen years. She was a woman of great faith and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Carole was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved music especially polka music where she played the accordion in a band with her brother at community events. As a teenager, she was active in the marching band drill team and was the â€œPop Corn Girlâ€ at the Amherst Theater. Carole loved cooking and spending time with her family and enjoyed sending them home with a â€œcare packageâ€ from dinner. Her hobbies included fishing and spending time with nature and being near the water. Survivors include her sons John Kinzel of Vermilion Township, Paul Kinzel and his wife Georgia of Amherst; her daughters Katherine Murphy of Grafton, Anne Tuttle and her husband James of Wakeman; eight grandchildren; and her brother John Muniga of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years Kenneth George Kinzel in 2005; and by her parents Peter and Frances Muniga (nee: Stachelski). Friends may call Friday, August 20, 2010, from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Closing Prayers will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 9:45 a.m. from Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church; 1033 Elm St., Grafton, OH 44044 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Fr. John Seabold, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International; 4500 Rockside Road, Suite 420, Cleveland, OH 44131.
