About	Not sure of the class he was in - I'm making a guess - maybe 1947. Per his obituary it states he graduated from the FORMER Amherst High School...wonder - does that mean Central School? No idea. I do know that David was a resident of Amherst Manor for many years. "David O. Leimbach, 80 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Community Health Partners Center in Lorain following a lengthy illness. He was born November 21, 1929 to Dwyer and Beatrice Leimbach (nee: Delbridge) in Amherst where he has lived all his life and graduated from the former Amherst High School. David owned and operated the former Atlantic Gas Station in Amherst for over forty years, retiring in 1972. After retirement, he was employed with the Amherst IGA for nineteen years. He was an Ohio State sports fan. He treasured his family and loved spending time with them. David leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-six years Phyllis Leimbach (nee: Borer); his daughters Yvonne Santiago and her companion David Sullivan of Lorain and Linda Santiago of Amherst; his grandchildren Jamie Santiago, Jacob Crossan and his wife Michelle, Eric Crossan, and Christian Santiago and his wife Kellie; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Bonnie Zimmerman on August 7, 1985; by his brothers Fredrick Leimbach and Delbert Leimbach; and his parents Dwyer and Beatrice Leimbach (nee: Delbridge). Friends may call Monday, June 14, 2010, from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held privately by the family. The Rev. Arnie Fleagle, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township."
