About	Hilda Laura (nee Hoffman) Kreger, age 92 27 Sep 1917 - 7 Apr 2010 Class of 1935 - Central High School http://www.morningjournal.com/articles/2010/04/08/obituaries/mj2566701.txt "AMHERST — Hilda Laura Kreger (nee: Hoffmann), 92 years of age, and a resident of Amherst was called home to her Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home under the care of New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness. She was born September 27, 1917 in Amherst where she has lived most of her life and graduated from the former Central High School with the class of 1935. A loving wife and mother, Hilda worked for Sears for many years, retiring from the Credit Department. A lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst, she served as Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Altar Guild and Willing Workers. She served as organist for her home church as well as other area Lutheran churches. She served as a Girl Scout Leader in her younger years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking and baking. She used her sewing talent making quilts with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League for missions. Hilda leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Geraldine Hribar-McClure and her husband Charles of Lorain, Audrey Savina and her husband Allen of Wakeman, Wanda Aschenbach and her husband Roger of Amherst, Laura Kreger of Amherst, and Karen Strader of Lorain; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years Willard Carl Kreger on January 16, 1994; her son Willard C. Kreger Jr. in 1962; her daughter JoAnn Miller-Young in 2006; her parents Frederick and Clara Hoffmann (nee: West); her brother Frederick Hoffmann; and her sisters Ruth Reinking and Helena Weber. Friends may call Friday, April 9, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Dr., Amherst. The Rev. Terrance Adamson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Organ Fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Dr., Amherst, OH 44001.
