About	Marjorie 'June' (nee Mc Dermott) Muska "Graduate Central School Class of 1940" (before Marion L Steele HS exsisted!) 7 Jun 1922 - 20 Dec 2009 "AMHERST OH Marjorie 'June' Muska, (nee McDermott), age 87, and a life resident of Amherst, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Specialty Hospital of Lorain in Amherst Hospital following a brief illness. June was born June 7, 1922 and was a 1940 graduate of Central School. Following high school June was a clerical employee at an insurance agency in old downtown Amherst. She married in 1950 and was a homemaker. June was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst. While raising her children June was active in the parish community. She volunteered as a cafeteria worker at the school and was a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 429. She was also a former member of the churchÃ¢ï¿½ï¿½s Altar and Rosary Society. Her memberships include the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans Post 1662, Amherst and American Legion Post 118, Amherst. June was an Cleveland Indians fan. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially every Sunday when she would prepare a family meal for them to enjoy with her at her home. Survivors include a daughter Kathleen (husband, Frank) Altieri of Florida and son Robert (wife, Susan) Muska of Amherst; five grandchildren; Adam, Becca, Ryan, Chip, and Bob; several great grandgrandchildren; and her sister Mary Alice Knipp of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Robert F. Muska (1998); and her parents Frank and Mabel (nee Young) McDermott. Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst, Tuesday 4 - 8 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Closing prayers will be Wednesday 9:30a.m. at the funeral home followed by 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst. Rev. Lawrence N. Martello, pastor, will officiate. Burial will in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
