MANSFIELD: Mable Allen, 67, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Born to Hester Allen and Lillian (Peek) Alexander on March 15, 1949 in Crawfordville, Georgia.
Mable loved children. She gave up her life and career to care for her family, including many nieces and nephews. Mable believed in Jesus and doing the right thing. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High with the class of 1967, and later graduated from NCTC with a business degree. Mable loved all sports, but especially basketball and football. She also enjoyed card games and video games, and watching presidential political debates. She also greatly enjoyed family gatherings.
Mable is survived by three sisters, Diane Cowan of Mansfield, Gwendolyn (Sylvester) Norwood of Georgia, and Beverly Fowler of Mansfield; nieces and nephews, Fontaine (Clint) Williams of Centerville, LaToya (Craig) Powers of Ontario, Jerel Fowler of Mansfield, Sylvester (Cassie) Norwood of Georgia, Sheena Norwood of Georgia, Milton (Avis) Peek Jr. of Georgia, and Joyce (Anthony) Chapman of Georgia; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents, Hester Allen and Lillian Alexander; step father, Julioes Alexander; one brother, Milton Peek Sr.; and one sister, Wendy Alexander.
