About Me	I'm a born-again Christian! I enjoy gospel music, and sing in the choir at First Baptist Church at Savoy. I'm the last born of 3 sons in a blue collar family of 5 and grew up in Mahomet, Il. My maternal grandparents farmed for a living and it was on their farm that I discovered that I loved livestock and being around them. My working career of 37 years was in the U. of I. Dept. of Animal Sciences on 1 of the swine farms. At the age of 11, I was given some chicks as pets and have ended up having chickens as a hobby, with special interests in purebred poultry, for most of my life since. In 2008 I became a national licensed poultry judge through the American Poultry Association, the oldest poultry organization in the United States. I enjoy judging poultry shows and meeting people from across the United States as well as some foreign countries.
